Lisa Marie Wilson (born April 14, 1980) is a beauty queen and singer from Rome, Georgia, who has competed in the Miss USA pageant and appeared on American Idol.[1] She graduated from Armuchee High School in 1998[2] and also obtained a diploma in radio and television broadcasting from Coosa Valley Technical High School.
Lisa first began performing in her church at the early age of eight. In 2003, she made it to the semi-final round of the third season of American Idol, earning number six worst American Idol semi-finalist ever from TV Squad.[3] After her elimination from the Idol stage in 2004, she recorded her first album.
Wilson won the 2006 Miss Georgia USA title at the state pageant[4] in Newnan. It was her first attempt at the title, although she had competed in other competitions such as Hawaiian Tropic and Venus Swimwear. She represented Georgia in the Miss USA 2006 pageant in Baltimore, Maryland in April 2006 and was second runner-up.[5] Her sister titleholder was Brittany Sharp, who was also a runner-up in the Miss Teen USA pageant. In November 2006 Wilson passed on her crown to Brittany Swann who had placed third runner-up to her in the 2006 pageant.
Lisa has been featured on the cover of New You magazine, and was named one of Atlanta's 50 Most Beautiful People in 2006 by Jezebel Magazine. She has also appeared in People Magazine, Star Magazine, US Weekly Magazine, Pageantry Magazine, Atlanta Brides, and Supermodels Unlimited. In July 2007, she was featured on the cover of Woman's World[6] and appeared in a European Bacardi advertisement with George Clooney.
